Thoughtful details and solid, velvety oak are the main elements of the Part collection, and not much more is needed. With virtually graphic simplicity, the designer Simon Legald has created a collection of cutting boards that unifies decoration and function.
The Part collection consists of boards for various cutting tasks, meat, bread, vegetables and sandwich toppings, each with their own unique characteristics. The simple details that decorate each Part cutting board all have a functional purpose, while still giving the design an aesthetic value.
The Part cutting boards for meat and bread both have grooves to retain meat juices and crumbs. The meat board’s grooves meet a juice rim, while the breadboard’s grooves go all the way out to the edge in order to be able to knock the crumbs easily off the board. The vegetable cutting board has a carved ramp that allows the chopped vegetables to safely and smoothly slide over into the salad bowl or pan. The last and smallest cutting board is completely smooth and is ideal for small cutting tasks, such as cutting sandwich toppings or fruit.
All of the cutting boards are made from solid oak with an attractive soft finish. The edges are rounded and finished with a bevel down to the bottom, while one single side has as a completely clean cut.
The attractive Part cutting boards do not need to be hidden away in a drawer. The boards are decorative enough to be stored on the kitchen worktop and can even travel from the kitchen to the dining table. Take the breadboard with you onto the table, and cut slices as you need them, while you use the smallest board to serve, e.g. cheese.
